This colorful and modern editorial shoot that took place at the Merrimon Wynne House in downtown Raleigh was recently featured on Inspired By This. The Merrimon Wynne house was the perfect backdrop for this elegant and colorful shoot. It was an honor to work with such a talented group of vendors!

From Alexia herself (Owner of Wiley Events Co) ,
Blending both fashion and interior design trends with classic wedding accents, this editorial shoot is an ode to the cool, modern couple.
Inspired by a recent trip to Byron Bay, Australia and the intentionally-designed beachside cafes there, our table incorporates on-trend colors and contemporary glasses, plates and flatware. The rattan hanging lanterns, often used in home design, were reimagined to hang above the newlywed’s table and were adorned with smilax greens. To play off of the textures hanging above, the menus placed at each table setting featured corresponding patterns printed on vellum.
Bold geometric shapes were another on-trend design element reimagined for this wedding editorial. Represented in the ceremony backdrops, the paper goods and the cake design, the focus on shape and movement adds a touch of whimsy.
Through the use of color, texture, and shape, our vision was to bring a modern wedding aesthetic to life in a way that is elevated and attainable for today’s couple.
